Controlled Cavitation Technology
For Control of Biofouling/Biofilms

WATER QUALITY IS IMPORTANT TO OUR LIFE

The Problem

  • The water quality monitoring system (WQMS) probes use optical sensors;

  • They become less effective when biofouling grow on these sensors;

  • Currently, brush type wipers are used to clean the biofouling growth;

  • They are not an effective and a cost-effective solution;

  • Technicians periodically go to the installed field site and replace the sensors every 3 weeks;

  • In the worst growth conditions, maintenance may be required every week;

  • The current method has high maintenance cost!
